Wee animals quilts donated!

In December, we donated our two wee animals quilts to Kapiolani Medical Center!

We were so happy with our members’ enthusiasm and creativity, and we were all excited at the thought of new babies receiving the quilts we worked together to make.
a cute surprise on the back

Trinia quilted clouds on one quilt, and Alli quilted dots and dashes on the other, using The Inbox Jaunt’s fantastic tutorial.

Bridget and Sue bound the quilts, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!

Our Patriot Quilt is finally at its new home!
OMQG patriotic quilt donated!

Ronnie and Mai went to deliver it to the Soldier & Family Assistance Center on Schofield. It will be displayed at the center in their lobby/lounge room where they have weekly meetings and soldiers, including wounded warriors, gather.
the quilt will hang near the entrace!

They got to present the quilt at the weekly briefing. The people at Schofield were all appreciative and loved the quilt!

A photo of the quilt presentation will be published in the Schofield community paper, and we will be sure to share the photo once we receive it!

Thank you Ronnie for finding a home for this quilt, and much appreciation to our members, as always!

Operation Homefront Quilt

Sarah, our vice president of programming, organized an awesome and superfast charity quilt for an Operation Homefront baby shower!

She passed out block kits at the May 20th general meeting, and members sewed the blocks over the next few days. Then Sarah put together the quilt top, worked her longarm magic, and bound the quilt over the weekend so that she could deliver it in time for the baby shower the following week.

The Operation Homefront baby shower was a great success with many other donated presents!

And here’s the beautiful mama who received our quilt! 🙂
