Babies and Charity

Since we’re a QUILT group, we are sewing baby quilts and donating them to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children to be given to families in need. Our goal is to have every Oahu Modern Quilt Guild group member create and donate at least one blanket or quilt. These are some of the designs we’re sewing.

We meet once a month, usually on the third Wednesday of the month, at the Aiea Public Library. Want to join our guild and learn quilting techniques at the same time and participate in our charity projects?   Click our application form, and mail to the address on the form or email application form to Communications@OahuModernQuiltGuild.com .  You can even pay using paypal by clicking this link.

We’re also asking for donations of fabric and batting. You can drop them off at our next scheduled meeting in August at the Aiea Public Library.  August 21, 2019 from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.  The donations we are accepting are:

    • 1 yard cuts of 100% cotton solids & blenders, low volume and baby type fabrics (flowers, soft prints)
    • 1 ½ yard cuts of blenders, baby type prints & solids
    • 2 ½” strips (WOF) juvenile, baby, soft colors & light solids
