HO, HO, HO. Time to think about Christmas.

Christmas projects galore!

During our last zoom meeting members shared some projects they have done or are doing for Christmas gifts.

One suggestion was using up your little scrap pieces, sewing them together and cutting them out into shapes. Then sewing and quilting them as potholders.  Ingenious idea to make gifts and use up all those pesky little scraps floating around.

Another member used a book that had a pattern for a quilted upright storage cube that had pockets on the outside.  She used the Bonnie and Camille Quilt Bee book.  The link to purchase is here: https://thimbleblossoms.com/products/quiltbee. If you can’t get the book, there are a lot of online patterns.  Just look for quilted fabric storage bins.  Here’s a link to a pattern to start you off:  https://weallsew.com/fabric-storage-bin-tutorial/.

We don’t get any remuneration from any of the links mentioned.

If you want to join us for a zoom meeting email us to get a link. The first meeting is complimentary. Email us communications@oahumodernquiltguild.com. Our next meeting is November 17, 2021 at 6:30 pm HST.
