Quilting amid verdant green mountains

We had a wonderful day at the Ho’omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Time was spent to sew and just see what others were doing. We had our lunch beneath the Koolau Mountains that were misty with rain, luckily it didn’t rain on us.

Barb, Martha, Christine and Cheryl were having a blast discussing a project that Christine brought to work on.

There were a lot of gadgets people brought to the April Sew Day.

Stretcher bar for quilts, magnifying glasses with light, portable light that bends a lot, a gripper for the ruler. Whew, lots and lots.  We may have a gadget day show and tell in the future so you can see the gadgets in action.

Pam brought a dinosaur quilt she’s sewing for her grandson. Can’t you just hear the dinos ROAR!
