We had a sew day to learn simple Sashiko quilting/mending techniques. Sashiko, meaning “little stabs” is a Japanese style of stitching. In traditional Japanese mending, sashiko is a style of hand stitching used to repair textiles or to create layers for added warmth in working garments. Now it’s a trendy artwork design.

We are also continuing to sew and donate baby quilts to Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children here in Honolulu, Hawaii.
