Dinosaurs and collages make wonderful quilts.

Sew day fun

At lot of us had fun at our August “sew day” get together. We also sewed industriously. At our September meeting, a member gave a talk and show about their journey in quilting. She mentioned that quilting doesn’t have to follow the “rules”.  Shown is one of her quilts that didn’t follow the “rules”, and is more of a collage of things she felt were harmonious together. The star pattern was from one of the workshops the Oahu Modern Quilt Guild presented in 2018 by Krista Moser.

Dinosaurs galore

In May, we showed a member starting a dinousaur quilt for her grandsons. Here’s the finished quilt. She made the quilt using a pattern by Elizabeth Hartman. There’s a lot of dinosaurs roaring there.

Our next meeting is October 17, 2022 at Halawa District park in Aiea, Hawaii. From 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm. If you want to join, please email us a request at communications@oahumodernquiltguild.com . The first meeting is complimentary.

Just so you know, we don’t get any renumeration from any of the products or links that are mentioned in our blogs.
