We had an in person meeting during February (right next to the gym where a girl’s volleyball game was going on). We also had a video about deluttering by Karen Brown of JustGetItdoneQuilts.com to inspire us to clean up and organize our sewing area. Several of us have been posting our progress on our private facebook page.
Shown were a bunch of baby quilts for donation our chosen charity: Kapiolani Women’s and Children’s Medical Center. Boy, were some people prolific. Lulu brought in about a dozen quilts that she finished. Way to go, Lulu.
Leslie showed a quilt made of deconstructed aloha shirts, and surprise, it highlighted an aloha shirt design. Our next meeting is March 15, 2023 at Halawa District park, from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
